Creating a Relaxed and Vibrant Work Environment

Root Design Hong Kong Limited has taken a fresh approach to office design by bringing the exterior and outdoor elements into the interior. The result is a work environment that evokes the atmosphere of a quiet urban street. The design concept focuses on creating a relaxed atmosphere that fosters creativity and collaboration.

One of the standout features of this design is the treatment of the executive offices as individual shops. Each office is fitted with a large glass panel, allowing for visual transparency while maintaining a certain degree of acoustic isolation. This design choice not only enhances the overall aesthetic but also creates a sense of openness and connectivity.

The design team faced several challenges during the realization of this project. The long wooden strips used in the design could not fit in the lift, so the construction team had to assemble them on-site. Additionally, the limited budget required careful consideration of contracting fees and re-reinstatement costs. Despite these challenges, the project was completed successfully within a short period of time.

The Urban Streetscape office design spans 200 square meters and accommodates seven rooms with a capacity for 58 people. The design incorporates elements of spatial design and showcases Root Design Hong Kong Limited's expertise in creating innovative and functional workspaces.

This unique office design has garnered recognition and acclaim. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2019. This prestigious award recognizes designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving quality of life through art, science, design, and technology.
